Position Overview

As the Design Project Manager at Lux, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing our design projects. Reporting to the President, you will work closely with our design and project management teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects on time and within budget. This position requires strong organizational skills, an ability to manage multiple projects, and a collaborative approach to working with designers and contractors. You will ensure that design processes run efficiently while maintaining alignment with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage design workflows, ensuring all projects adhere to timelines and budgets.
  • Support and manage communication between interior designers, project managers, and external contractors.
  • Implement project management tools and systems to track progress, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Conduct project status meetings, addressing issues or roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Maintain alignment between project goals and company standards, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage task allocation for internal teams and external contractors, with the ability to onboard new contractors as needed.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare regular status reports for senior leadership.
  • Work at least one day per week from home, supporting flexibility and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within the interior design, architecture, or related industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Trello, Monday.com, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • A deep interest in AI and technology, with a willingness to enhance design processes through innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain focus under pressure.
  • Experience in task allocation and contractor management is an asset.
