Lux: Design + Manufacturing
In 2023, Preserve Senior Living underwent a transformative renovation, thanks to the vision of Brady Giddens, who brought Chris Black, President of Lux: Design + Manufacturing, into the project. With Lux at the helm, the aim was to elevate the community’s design and functionality, creating a sophisticated yet engaging environment that promotes comfort, social interaction, and resident well-being.
The lobby was reimagined as a welcoming space featuring plush seating, a custom stone fireplace, and an abundance of natural light. Its flexible layout encourages conversation and relaxation, serving as the heart of the community. The in-house salon was also revamped to provide a spa-like experience, offering modern finishes, sleek black-and-white furnishings, and personalized service stations to cater to residents' needs for relaxation and self-care.
Dining areas were transformed with luxurious soft-toned furnishings and elegant chandeliers, creating an upscale restaurant-like atmosphere for residents to enjoy daily meals. The multipurpose activity room was designed to encourage creativity and social interaction, with bright, colorful furnishings that invite participation in activities such as arts, crafts, and games. Additionally, the theater was updated with modern seating and advanced technology, making it the perfect venue for movie screenings, educational programs, and community events.
The outdoor courtyard became a peaceful retreat, complete with string lighting, inviting seating areas, and lush landscaping. This space now fosters both social gatherings and individual relaxation, enhancing residents' connection to nature and their community.
Within months of the project’s completion, Preserve Senior Living saw a notable increase in resident satisfaction and engagement. The renovated spaces not only improved functionality and aesthetics but also fostered a deeper sense of pride and belonging among residents. The project’s success stands as a testament to Brady Giddens’ strategic leadership in bringing Chris Black and Lux: Design + Manufacturing into the fold, and to the collaborative, thoughtful design approach that transformed Preserve Senior Living into a vibrant, thriving community.
